Up to $ 20 million reward for information on crime of Bumangués businessman

The authorities announced a reward of up to $ 20 million for information that allows the clarification of the crime of a Bumangués businessman, whose body was abandoned in a truck on a road in southern Cali.

This was reported by General Manuel Antonio Vásquez, commander of the Metropolitan Police in the last hours.

The discovery was registered on Thursday morning, in one of the alleys that leads to the Pichindé district. The high-end vehicle, with license plates KKT-591, where the body was, was abandoned there.

According to the preliminary report of the institution, the victim is John Jairo Jaimes Monsalve, a renowned businessman of fur, leather and footwear in Bucaramanga.

Jaimes Monsalve is known to be the president of the Colombian Leatherworkers Association, he worked for aid for the union in which hundreds of people, due to the pandemic, were left without work.

He arrived in Cali last Saturday, November 28, in his truck, with the aim of participating in the Footwear and Leather Goods Fair, which is held at the Parque de las Orquídeas Events Center.
