General Jorge Luis Vargas, director of the Police, confirmed the scoop of EL TIEMPO on the change of uniform in the institution. According to him, in order to arrive at the new uniform model, 84,000 surveys were carried out among the personnel in order to know their needs compared to the comfort to carry out their work, mostly linked to patrolling the streets.
But sources from the institution told EL TIEMPO that they also want to bring citizens even closer to the institution, which has more of a civilian role than a military one. In fact, they delivered 15 photos that are circulating and in which a uniform with the name of General Vargas is even seen.
