On the morning of this Saturday, the Barranquilla media confirmed the murder of a man over 40 at the hands of a minor as young as 15, which occurred around 3:00 am in the Villa Estadio neighborhood of the municipality of Soledad (Atlántico).
According to the report of the residents of the sector to the authorities, released by the Zona Cero portal, the murdered man and the teenager went out together to buy a bottle of rum. Some time later the body of the adult was found with a wound on its trunk, on the side of the heart. When noticing, people alerted the authorities and they managed to capture the minor.
According to the same media outlet, the 15-year-old himself would have confessed to the police that killed the man with a shoe sewing needle because he hadn’t wanted to give him a drink from the bottle of rum they bought, a fact that sparked a fight between the two.
The victim, who died at the scene, was identified as Geovani Enrique García Hernández, El Heraldo detailed. The young man attacked the man in the chest with the sharp weapon and killed him.
The agents immediately took the adolescent away and placed him at the disposal of the Adolescent Prosecutor’s Office. For its part, the Sijin inspected the victim’s corpse and transferred it to the Legal Medicine headquarters located in the Los Andes neighborhood of that coastal municipality.
