The UN Verification Mission in Colombia condemned this Saturday the murder of Wílder Daniel Marín, a member of the Farc political party and ex-guerrilla, which occurred in the municipality of Bello.

“With Wilder there are already 24 murder cases, in 2020, of those who are committed to their reincorporation process“The international organization said in a statement.
According to the Farc party, Marín’s body was found “wrapped in a burning mattress” in the Cabañas neighborhood, in the municipality of Bello.
The demobilized ex-guerrilla I studied to be an accounting assistant in the National Apprenticeship Service (Sena) and was reincorporating as an associate to the Cooperativa Multiactiva Tejiendo Paz (Cootepaz).
The UN Mission denounces that since March 25, when Colombia began quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic, six demobilized ex-guerrillas and at least 32 social leaders have been assassinated in this country.

He also says that since the peace agreement between the Colombian government and the then FARC guerrilla was signed in November 2016, “they have been murdered 198 people in the process of reincorporation ”.
Faced with the facts, he acknowledges the institutional and judicial efforts being made to clarify the murders and “hopes that they will lead to concrete results, including that the material and intellectual perpetrators be brought to justice.”
Likewise, it urges to deepen the measures for the dismantling of criminal organizations and their support networks, in order to guarantee the safety of ex-combatants, social leaders, and human rights defenders.
