This Tuesday, September 29, will be the first presidential debate between Donald trump Y Joe Biden before the November 3 election. A discussion full of personal marks given the temperament of both.

The key facts of the debate

It will start at 8:00 pm (Colombian time) and will last 90 minutes without commercial breaks. The moderator is veteran Fox News journalist Chris Wallace, who also hosted one of the Hillary Clinton and Trump debates in 2016.

The topics that will be addressed are the following (which can be in any order, as explained in the Commission on Presidential Debates):

  • The history of Donald Trump and Joe Biden
  • The Supreme Court of Justice
  • The coronavirus
  • The economy
  • Racial tensions and violence in cities
  • The integrity of the elections

15 minutes will be dedicated for each topic. And the candidates will have two minutes to answer each question, with the possibility of a reply.

There will be no handshake between Trump, Biden and Wallace, nor initial statements of the candidates. The moderator’s question is directly entered, explained the advisor of the Commission on Presidential Debates Peter Eyre, quoted by Fox News.

None of the three will wear masks. There will also be no press conference after the debate and only between 75 and 80 people will be able to enter the event venue, as long as they have tested negative for coronavirus, reports the Politico portal.

The two candidates will stand: Trump on the right and Biden on the left.

The other scheduled debates will be held on October 15 and 22.
