On the night of December 21, men entered a TransMilenio bus that covered route B13 between the El Tunal and the Norte gateways, to rob the passengers. The events occurred when the car was moving through the Quiroga station.

In the middle of the events, a 27-year-old girl ended up with three wounds caused by a knife in one of her arms, and his relatives reported that he is recovering from his injuries at home, and that this Thursday they will have to go to Forensic Medicine to find out the disability they will give them.

The criminals committed the robbery and forced open the doors to escape. In the midst of the police reaction, two men were captured and a minor was apprehended. The three people were part of the gang that committed the crime.

EL TIEMPO confirmed with official sources that the two detainees are young people who are doing their military service in the National Police, but who had already left their job that day. They will have to face a process in the military penal system, and they were also reported to the Attorney General’s Office.

“What security does one abide by if the same personnel who must provide protection to citizens commit illegal acts?” stated the father of the young woman who was injured.

According to the Bogotá Police, the capture of these alleged criminals was achieved thanks to the security plans and the accompaniment of the articulated buses.
