As Angeline Lozada was identified the minor who died this Monday afternoon after being hit by a TransMilenio bus when it was moving along the trunk of 13th Street. The accident occurred around 6 in the afternoon.

According to official information, it would be a young woman of approximately 16 years of age who was mobilizing on a bicycle. An uncle of the victim told Citynoticias de 8 o’clock that she and other relatives were trying to cross the avenue when the bus struck them. The father of the minor said that he managed to avoid the bi-joint by a few centimeters.

At various times, the victim’s relatives moved into the preferred lane and, according to witnesses, tried to attack the bus driver. However, the Police quickly arrived at the site to control the situation.

Through its Twitter account, TransMilenio reported that the trunk of the Americas is in counter-flow in the vicinity of the De La Sabana station sector.

In a press release, they stated that once the incident occurred, the care protocols were activated through the Ministry of Health to provide medical care. However, it was not possible to save the life of this citizen.

“From the moment the event occurred, the investigations began in coordination with the authorities to establish the causes of the incident. TransMilenio SA stands in solidarity with the family of the victim of this event and states that it will begin the accompaniment,” they explained.
