The 107th edition of the Tour de France will pay tribute this Thursday to two recently deceased characters, former cyclist Raymond Poulidor and former president Jacques Chirac, on its longest day, designed for a getaway to play for stage victory.

The caravan will pass through Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat, his city, and will end in Sarran, that of Chirac, who died on September 26, a great cycling fan who did not miss the opportunity to visit the race every July.

The Slovenian Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) will defend the yellow jersey of leader of the individual general classification with 21 seconds of income over the Colombian Egan Bernal (Ineos Grenadier) and 28 seconds over the French Guillaume Martin (Cofidis). The peloton will depart on time from Chauvigny at 12 noon (CEST) and its arrival in Sarran is scheduled for 5:11 pm.
