Colombia faces the second part of the Tour de France as the country with the most cyclists placed in the Top-10, four, ready to challenge the two Slovenians who have shown more strength so far.
Egan Bernal, defending champion, is second 21 seconds behind the leader, the Slovenian Primoz Roglic; Nairo Quintana, who has signed three podiums, is fifth, 32 seconds behind; Rigoberto Urán, second in 2016, is sixth at the same distance; and Miguel Ángel López is ninth at 1.15 minutes.

The four Colombians, who start as leaders of their respective teams, have endured the first leg of the competition well and keep their options intact.
In front of them, two Slovenians emerge, Roglic, that supported by the Jumbo, the strongest team, has won a stage and has the yellow jersey; and Tadej pogacar, the strongest man in the Pyrenees, with a stage win and a show of impudence.
“Yes, that’s what it says right now on paper and the results. Let’s see what happens but the ideal is that Colombia is there. Just as they in Peyresourde allied themselves (Roglic and Pogacar) and I went ahead and they did not want to change, we will also have to make a Colombian alliance if one day it comes and it can be done this way, “Nairo said in his analysis of the first day of rest.

“Without a doubt they are two great rivals, but there are others,” adds the Arkea team boss, who has overcome the first week with only one black point, the 11 seconds left in the second stage of the Pyrenees with a finish in Laruns.
