For more than four hours the overturning of one of these closed the road towards Manizales

Through social networks, travelers have described that They take up to 20 hours in traffic and, due to its location, it is not easy for them to return to taking alternative routes.

“I tell you that it is 2:00 in the morning and we are just entering Mariquita and the traffic jams continue. From Manizales to here it takes us nine hours and you can’t see it moving forward. Endless lines, lots of trucks and trailers. Don’t even think about it Traveling by Letters is impossible, “said one of the travelers who took this route on social media.

“As far as possible, our recommendation is that you do not travel today or on January 1 and 2 on the Manizales -Mariquita -Letters road. It is better to take the road through Calarcá. Caldas also take the Transversal de Caldas, which is the road that leaves Manizales, by Cementos Caldas, to go to Marulanda or going first to Salamina, “said the Secretary of Infrastructure of Caldas, Luis Alberto Giraldo.

It should be noted that since the early morning of December 30 there has also been a total blockage of the Manzanares (Caldas) – Petaqueros road in the critical site of Buenavista, near Llanadas, the bank disappeared after a heavy downpour, so it remains closed .
