With the closure of the road, five homes in the area were also evacuated in a preventive manner due to the high probability of new landslides that could represent a major emergency. So far there has been no structural emergency, or report of missing or injured people.

The personnel and machinery of the Briceño-Tunja-Sogamoso road concession are carrying out the removal work to enable the road. On the other hand, the personnel of the road quadrant of the National Police also carry out traffic management to guarantee mobility in the area.

“We are working to reopen the road with the preventive activation of the Municipal Risk Management Council and the Departmental Risk Management Unit.
