A guarantee control judge in Medellín sheltered Lina Marcela Pérez Álvarez in prison, who was captured by the authorities and indicates that she is the alleged murderer of the historian and activist of Colombia Humana Campo Elías Galindo.

Expert experts from the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police spent hours conducting technical tests, such as searching for Biological traces with fluorescent lights in the victim’s house and examining more than 300 hours of security camera recordings, to prosecute the woman.
The investigation was prioritized by prosecutor Francisco Barbosa, who created a task force for such cases. The team is made up of expert investigators in criminology and forensic doctors.

The first thing they did at the scene of the events was to apply the forensic lighting technique in order to identify traces of blood and fingerprints. Biological and DNA tests are subject to analysis.
Experts from the Prosecutor’s Office indicated that since the body of the victim was found two days later, the initial challenge consisted in establishing the circumstances of time, manner and place of when he was last seen alive and verify who he had contact with.
In that sense, videos of public and private security cameras were collected, in whose visual material it was evidenced when and with whom Galindo arrived at his apartment. In addition, a taxi was identified in which the woman mobilized. Investigators located the license plates on the car and reached the driver, who He led them to the place where he left the woman.
The attorney general, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, indicated that in the Renacer operation the arrest of Pérez, 35 years old, was made effective, who will be made available to a local judge, and that the events would be associated with “matters of a passionate nature.”
Technical tests were carried out in the taxi to detect the presence of the victim’s blood. The driver left the woman two blocks from the place where she was captured, so security cameras and intelligence work were followed to identify the place she had entered after committing the crime.

“After analyzing several hours of calls, it was possible to establish the type of relationship and communication that the victim had with the alleged perpetrator”, researchers noted.
The computer and cell phone that were stolen from Galindo on the day of the events were found in the woman’s house. The investigators’ hypothesis is that Galindo and the woman were in a relationship and that the death originated from a personal problem between them and not from events related to the victim’s work.
The prosecutor Barbosa added that due to the crimes of four other people linked to Colombia Humana, investigations and there are already four people prosecuted.
