New York (CNN Business) – On his first show since Joe Biden was screened as the winner of the 2020 election, “Saturday Night Live” opened with Jim Carrey as president-elect, and Maya Rudolph as Kamala Harris, sharing their victory speeches.
Thank you very much America! We did it! ”Carrey said at the start of the NBC variety show. Can you believe it? I honestly can’t. It’s been so long since something good happened.
Carrey, in his role as Biden, said it may have been an eternity, but he “never felt so alive.”
“Which is ironic since I’m not that alive,” he added.
Carrey’s Biden also said he would be president for all Americans.
“Whether it’s from a liberal state like California, or a conservative state like Oklahoma, or a total disaster like Florida,” he said.
Then the new president-elect played by Carrey invited his running mate to speak.
“To all the black and brunette girls watching right now, I just want to say this: the reason your mom is laughing so hard tonight is because she’s drunk,” said Harris, played by Rudolph. And the reason she’s crying is because she’s drunk. Their mothers will go from laughing to crying and then dancing most of the night.

But “SNL” not only showed the victory speeches of Biden and Harris, but also contacted Donald Trump, played by Alec Baldwin, to discuss the president’s “concession” speech, or the absence of it.
“Thank you for coming to see my victory speech tonight,” Baldwin said as President Trump. “As anyone who died in the middle of Tuesday knows, I was reelected president of the United States.”
Baldwin’s Trump later said the election was being stolen.

He then vowed to fight the election results to the end.
“This is not goodbye, America,” he said. “See you at court!”
Finally, the episode returned to Biden and Harris – Carrey and Rudolph – who said that, unlike President Trump, they do accept the results of this election.
