Like other manufacturers, Samsung has long been pursuing the idea of a smartphone that is all-screen but, for the moment, the closest it has been is through the use of perforated panels in which the front camera occupies a small hole in the screen.
Other manufacturers such as Oppo and Xiaomi have sometimes opted for pop-up cameras that remain hidden from view when not in use.
The main drawback of emerging cameras is that they require a mechanism that increases the thickness of the terminal, takes up space inside, can break in the event of a fall, and makes it difficult to equip the protection device against water.
Now it seems that Samsung could launch a new mid-range smartphone with pop-up camera according to a recent leak of @OnLeaks.
The new smartphone has a 6.5 ″ size flat screen with a moderately sized bottom frame. The back is curved and houses three cameras along with the LED flash and a fingerprint scanner. The dimensions of the device are 183.5 x 77 x 9.2mm (9.7mm with the camera module).
The bottom of the phone houses a USB Type-C port flanked on one side by the speaker grille and on the other by a microphone. Surprisingly, Samsung hasn’t included a 3.5mm headphone jack, but there appears to be an infrared emitter on top of the phone.
