This Monday, December 7, a series of activities are planned both in the Environmental Hub and in the Bronx Mile Creative District.
For the celebration of Christmas, the District has planned around 2,000 activities throughout the month, in the city, among which are two special celebrations of the night of the candles, this December 7, in the center of the city .

On the one hand, there will be a guided tour between glowing colored lanterns, between the Mariposa park in San Victorino and the Periodistas park, which will go through the entire environmental axis.
The lanterns were created by artists from Bogotá and are found along the avenue, where visitors can also enjoy the stories and universes created in 30 magic boxes or lambe lambe, which were distributed in the area.
Likewise, the Gilberto Alzate Avendaño Foundation (FUGA) has prepared a series of activities, starting at 6:00 pm, in the Creative District of the Bronx Mile (Carrera 15 between streets 9 and 10). There, in addition to the installation of 70 cylinders of different sizes, which will illuminate the square, there will be a presentation of different artists from the sector.
These include Son callejero, a salsa orchestra made up of former street dwellers from the old Bronx, and the Cuarteto Al Aire, conducted by Nivaldo Guinche, director of the Coro de la Catedral Primada de Colombia, who will perform Christmas carols and traditional Colombian songs.
“Christmas is a time to share and that is why from the FUGA we have designed a series of activities, following the biosecurity norms, to illuminate the lives of the inhabitants of the center with cultural and artistic activities, in a bid to the economic reactivation of the cultural and creative sector ”, said Adriana Padilla Leal, director of Gilberto Alzate.
Finally, the Septimazo will be enabled, which will go from the Santander Park to the National Park, a route in which, within the framework of the reactivation of the art of the city, it will connect with galleries, bookstores and different stages for the performing and audiovisual arts , which will have 70 artistic presentations throughout the month.
Given the conditions of the pandemic, the three spaces will have capacity and distance control, according to the Mayor’s Office.
