From the town of Usaquén, the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López presented the strategy of ‘Bogotá to Open Sky’ that from this September 3, it will start working.

The gastronomic sector will allow restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and gastrobars to provide service to the table in open places with a capacity of 30% and 25% inside.

“This will be an experience to learn what we can do better and how we can take care of each other. This is a sector that not only reactivates employment but life. We are very excited about this strategy that we have been preparing for many weeks, ”said the mayor.

This strategy is betting that the gastronomy sectors will once again serve in outdoor spaces with different modalities and includes pilots in 100 streets of the city, grouped in 7 zones and 25 sections, in the towns of Chapinero, Santa Fe, La Candelaria, Usaquén, Kennedy, Tunjuelito and Teusaquillo.

Restaurants must enable virtual payment methods, have reservation systems, comply with constant table disinfection and ensure that employees and waiters use protection and biosecurity elements.

The peak measure and schedule will not apply to enter authorized restaurants with prior reservation.

This initiative includes attention to the interior of restaurants complying with a maximum capacity of 25% that avoids crowds and allows effective distancing.

The more than 48,000 food establishments and shopping center squares in the city can register for free at www.bogotaacieloabierto.gov.co to receive authorization from the District.
