They would have found the bodies of the missing couple after avalanche – Cali – Colombia

The two bodies were found by rescuers from the Civil Defense after an hour of searching.

The corpses will be taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, Buenaventura headquarters, for their full identification.

A close friend of the couple asserted that it is the two young men. However, the coordinator of Disaster Risk Management of Buenaventura, Arbintong López, stated that the identification of the two bodies should be expected to be completed.

Ana María Ortiz and Leonardo Cortés, both 29, had arrived aboard a Volkswagen van to a cabin in the tourist sector of Agua Clara, in the town of Cisneros, to spend the weekend.

But last Friday night it was raining a lot and an avalanche generated by the sudden increase in the flow of the Sabaletas and Anchichayá rivers dragged about 70 homes, among them, the cabin where the young people were.

Ana María is an architect while Leonardo is a graphic designer and is linked to the Mayor’s Office of Cali as a photographer in the Ministry of Tourism and specializes in digital marketing.
