In the same way, thinking of citizens who for health or prevention reasons prefer not to leave their homes, religious centers will give their families small portions of ash for them to celebrate the ritual in their homes.
Capacity controls will be maintained in all the temples of the country, so that they are not exceeded at any time. The registers with which many of the parishioners have been leaving their place will also be enabled inside the churches during the last few months.
The Vatican has also given some instructions for the celebration of this Ash Wednesday, the first with the whole world avoiding the spread of the coronavirus since, by last year, some countries had not yet experienced the serious consequences that the pandemic has left. . A statement from the Episcopal Conference indicates that This ceremony will be carried out by spreading the ashes on the heads of the faithful, to avoid contact with the priests.
