Users reported that the patch slows down the system, affects connectivity, and even renders devices “unusable”.
The new update to the Windows 10 operating system has caused countless crashes on users’ computers, according to the Windows Latest portal.
Last week, Microsoft released a series of cumulative updates for said operating system, among them the KB4549951 in its 1903 and 1909 versions. That patch was supposed to fix security vulnerabilities, but its installation in some cases has caused the dreaded ‘blue screen of death’, the Screenshot shown by Windows when you cannot recover from a system error.
Furthermore, the installation of KB4549951 also seems to be that automatically remove or remove some files to the trash, and it even affects the personal settings established by users on their devices.
“This update is a disaster. Deleted my files, images, documents saved in the system drive and also the applications that I downloaded, “wrote an internet user in the comments of the Windows Latest article.
“I am very angry and disappointed with Microsoft for the additional stress and anxiety that this (KB4549951) has caused.” For his part, he criticized another user in the company’s official forum, where he pointed out that this update caused his computer to remain “totally unusable“for a few days.
Computer slowdown, problems with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, are just some of the other failures caused by the new operating system update that have been reported.
Microsoft has yet to comment on this, but Windows Latest recommends that the best option to avoid possible errors on your systems at the moment is uninstall KB4549951.
