The victims of the robbery attempt were part of the CM & news team of reporters. According to Javier Carbonell, a journalist for that medium, the crime was thwarted by operators of the Bogotá mass transit system.
Carbonell, on their social networks, published a video of the event and stated that said journalistic group was led by the communicator William Parra.
In the audiovisual material you can see the car in which the reporters were mobilized. One of them walks away momentarily while the rest seem to get the teams ready to take shots on a street in the capital.
Seconds later, a car is parked right next to them, in the middle of the road, and from there the criminals descend.

While the robbery attempt was going on, a SITP bus was passing through the area and, realizing what had happened, the driver crossed to prevent the thieves from passing.
When the criminals were impeded, they tried to reverse to sneak away. However, Another public transport bus was parked just in time to prevent the escape.
After the confusion, the rascals ran out and were able to escape, yes, without the camera and without the car in which they were transported.
