The victims of the robbery attempt were part of the CM & news team of reporters. According to Javier Carbonell, a journalist for that medium, the crime was thwarted by operators of the Bogotá mass transit system.

Carbonell, on their social networks, published a video of the event and stated that said journalistic group was led by the communicator William Parra.

While the robbery attempt was going on, a SITP bus was passing through the area and, realizing what had happened, the driver crossed to prevent the thieves from passing.
