Two prisoners escaped this Saturday morning from the Bucaramanga Model Prison, according to authorities.
They are Luis Alfredo Rincón Cardozo and Wilmar Javier Vásquez Mayorga. One of the now fugitives is a native of Los Patios, a municipality in the Cúcuta metropolitan area and the other of San Vicente de Chucurí.
Apparently, as evidenced by cameras, the prisoners violated the security of the prison and, taking advantage of the darkness, they jumped over walls and fled through the wooded area that leads to Chimitá.
Immediately, the respective protocols were activated to recapture these two men, who, in addition to the crimes for which they were already being held, must answer for escaping prisoners. His sentences appear to be quite high.
Wilmar Javier, 25, was detained for murder and Luis Alfredo, 35, for sexual acts with a child under fourteen.
Inhabitants of the sector indicated that around 4:00 in the morning they heard noises in the wooded area, so they immediately notified Inpec personnel. When the count was carried out, they corroborated that, effectively, two inmates were missing.
According to the Inpec, an investigation is underway into what may have failed in the prison’s security protocols. The truth is that as soon as the escape was known, supported by the Police, a locked plan was started in the surroundings of the prison and in areas where inmates have family members.
Any information about his whereabouts can be communicated to 123 Police.
