In Barranquilla, the Police took the first actions against the people who attacked two women and a policeman during a party in which they were asked to lower the volume of the music.
The video that recorded the attack was decisive in identifying and punishing them. “In the last hours, eight subpoenas have been imposed out of the 12 people who are fully identified and who attended this event. The subpoenas are motivated by non-compliance with the national decrees and the district decree, ”said the Barranquilla Police Commander, Ricardo Alarcón.

The other four persons identified would be those that the pediatrician, the domestic worker and the police officer criminally denounced for personal injuries. The authorities are waiting for an arrest warrant.
“We are awaiting the pronouncement of the competent authorities in the matter of the denunciations that there are for the crimes of personal injury and attack to public servant”, added Alarcón.
The building administration also received a subpoena for allowing such celebrations contrary to the established isolation measures.
For his part, the mayor of Barranquilla, Jaime Pumarejo, said regarding the case that, “this is not the time to celebrate and that is why we invite you to denounce. Here will be the authority, which only seeks to take care of us, to enforce the law. The current strategy at this stage of the pandemic will continue. We will not impose restrictions on many because of the irresponsibility of a few ”.
According to the authorities, The case was reported last Friday in the La Ría building, in the Villa Santos neighborhood, in the north of Barranquilla., in one of the apartments where a party with mariachis and at least 25 guests was held.
