The Minister of Health Fernando Ruiz revealed that the entity received a protection action where a citizen requested the “protection of the right to life” and He asked that he and his family be vaccinated immediately.

The minister added: “The judge’s decision was to deny the protection protection under the principles that order the application of certain vaccines to the plaintiff and his family nucleus would be to violate the right to equality of the rest of the Colombian population”.
He also pointed out that they already have about 2,975 vaccination posts and 8 thousand trained people ready for the National Vaccination Plan, not counting the 71 thousand who have signed up for training.
“In the whole world the availability of vaccines is not complete. Throughout the year, Colombia, like the other countries, will have a gradual arrival of vaccines. That forces us to prioritize populations. Colombians must respect that there are people at higher risk and that they should be vaccinated before us, ”he said.
President Iván Duque had warned that the National Government, the Attorney General’s Office and the Comptroller’s Office will work to evurge the “avivatos” to break the vaccination scheme, designed with priorities that were consulted with scientific entities and organizations, and so that no one is favored to the detriment of other people.
