Despite the fact that Colombia is going through the second peak of the coronavirus pandemic and lamenting its fatal consequences, more cases of people continue to be known in recent days irresponsible people who do not comply with the preventive measures decreed by local leaders thinking of slowing down the spread of the disease.
This weekend they were discovered 40 people in a brothel in Palmira (Valle del Cauca) violating the night curfew that has been in force for a few days in that municipality in the southwest of the national territory. Police officers were present at the scene, stopped the activities there and fined everyone present.
Those involved cared little that Palmira no longer has intensive care units for patients with COVID-19, nor that his hospital system is no longer coping.
However, the brothel was not the only place in that municipality that disregarded the night curfew. During the early hours of Saturday Six other places where clandestine meetings or parties were taking place were intervened, detailed the Mayor’s Office of Palmira on its Twitter account.
“We call on the community: health is everyone’s responsibility!”, expressed local authorities.
Valle del Cauca is the third region of the country with the most new cases of coronavirus in recent days. For example, this Saturday 1,334 met, so the department exceeded 162,000 infected throughout the pandemic.
