The Attorney General’s Office confirmed that the Mayor of Candelaria, Jorge Eliecer Ramirez, was at the disposal of the authority for alleged corruption.
For the Prosecutor’s Office, the officials of the Mayor’s Office of Candelaria have agreed with
individuals to take personal advantage and appropriate the monies of the municipality.
The captured officials:
Óscar Darío Posso Céspedes, formulator of projects and monitoring of the hiring of the Secretary of Education.

The arrest warrant against Wilson Suárez Betancourt, Secretary of Infrastructure, was not
made effective by the escape of the accused.
The investigation:
The first investigated contract was signed in November 2019, and included the construction of three soccer fields with batteries of bathrooms and bleachers, in the townships

For its part, in a statement, the Mayor’s Office of Candelaria, Valle, responded that upon learning of the investigation, the president decided submit to the requirements of the authorities.
