Promising them job opportunities, aka Rosa I had been recruiting young Colombian and Venezuelan women, through contacts via WhatsApp.

The woman, a kind of ‘madame’, approved of the women and coordinated their transfer to a sector known as Tres Esquinas or las Muñecas, in Yopal (Casanare).

Upon arrival, the women were received and housed, then informed that they had a a debt of 250,000 thousand pesos (for transportation) and that, to pay, they had to agree to provide sexual services in this place.

Alias ​​Rosa, human trafficking

Alias ​​Rosa contacted the young women through WhatsApp messages.

This is how the human trafficking network that was dismantled this morning in Yopal (Casanare) worked.

The operation was led by Migración Colombia and had the participation of the Dijín of the National Police, the National Army and the Attorney General’s Office.

The investigation began after several verification tasks carried out by Yopal Immigration Officers, who evidenced movements of people, including minors, in commercial establishments in the capital of Casanare.

Network trafficking

10 people were captured and 15 young people rescued.

According to the investigations carried out by the anti-trafficking and trafficking group of Migración Colombia, the criminal network had connections in Venezuela and the department of Arauca where the recruitment of women of Venezuelan nationality was carried out.

In operations carried out in the early hours of this Wednesday, 10 people were captured, of them 5 women, including alias Rosa.

This is one of the biggest blows to human trafficking networks and it is the second successful in less than three months of the Colombia Migration Anti-trafficking Research Group, which has declared a frontal fight against this scourge.

In the operation, a police officer was injured when he fell from the roof of a second floor.
