As of Tuesday, September 1, a new phase of isolation will begin in Colombia.

To continue slowing down the rate of spread of COVID-19, the leaders of the municipalities most affected by the virus in Santander, and Governor Mauricio Aguilar, made the following determinations that will be valid for 15 days:

-The Pico and Cédula will continue to have two digits, but from Monday to Sunday, to carry out commercial supply and bank transactions. Barrancabermeja had already been applying it.

The restriction continues with the digits 9 and 0 on Tuesday, September 1.

-The Prass strategy will be applied in the municipalities of the area, San Gil and Socorro.

-The Curfew will continue every day from 9:00 at night until 5:00 in the morning. That will be the same schedule of Prohibition. In Barrancabermeja the curfew will begin at 11:00 at night.

-Liquor consumption is prohibited in public places and shops.

-The churches may open from Monday to Sunday with a maximum capacity of 50 people. They must extend hours.

– Gyms may open with reservation and without use of wet areas.

-You can do sports outdoors except those that have to do with teams (soccer, basketball). They will not be restricted from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm

-Restaurants may open with 35% occupancy. You must have a reservation service. It does not apply peak and cedula. (Its opening will be gradual in accordance with the authorization of the municipalities).

-Hotels may open with full capacity in rooms, but 35% in common areas.

– Attendees at the Drive-in in Girón will be able to circulate after 11:00 at night.

-Adults over 70 years of age continue with mobility restriction.

– The Transportation Terminal will operate 24 hours a day with all the biosafety protocols that are already implemented.

It should be clarified that during the first 15 days of the month, the review procedures and compliance with protocols of all the establishments that want to open their doors will be carried out in each municipality.

This means that on Tuesday, September 1, only those who have the endorsement of their municipalities to do so will be able to operate.

In Bucaramanga, for example, from September 1 to 7, churches, restaurants and gyms must start the registration process on the website of the Mayor’s Office.

In addition, as these measures will only be valid until September 15, days before that date the leaders will meet again and, with contagion data, will make new decisions.
