All people over two years of age should wear surgical masks and for adults over 60, it is recommended that they wear N95s. “This given the appearance of the new variants and the contact with people of different origins in closed spaces, which despite the ventilation of the airplanes, forces us to take extreme measures,” said the Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz.
Travelers are also advised to wear multiple masks to replace them during the flight. When the flight is longer than two hours, it is recommended to change the mask when it is dirty or wet.
