Several emergencies such as falling trees, flooded roads and the fall of a structure in the center of the city, were registered in the afternoon this Friday in Cali due to an intense downpour.

The rains began to register at approximately 2:00 pm and lasted until 4:00 in the afternoon.

The first reports indicate that in several sectors even hail has fallen.

According to the preliminary report of the Ministry of Mobility of Cali, the emergencies registered are:

Fall of trees

-Carrera 8 with Calle 44.
-Carrera 8 with Calle 26.
-30 N Street with 2bn Avenue.
– Carrera 1 with Calle 4

Floods on roads

– Carrera 5 Calle 25

Traffic lights out of order

– Carrera 1 with Calle 34, 44 and 52.
– Calle 70 with Carrera 28d

In addition, they reported that traffic officers traveled to the sectors with the greatest impact to carry out traffic regulation tasks.

The neighborhoods where the rain has fallen with the most intensity are Versalles, Avenida Las Américas and Prados del Norte.

In the San Antonio sector, a tree fell in the middle of a public road due to the intensity of the winds.

The Volunteer Fire Department of Cali has reported several emergencies due to falling trees and collapses of structures in sectors such as the Santander, Guayacanes and Sucre neighborhoods.
