These are the best congressmen in Colombia, according to a national opinion poll

On November 12, the firm Cifras y Conceptos announced its opinion panel on political issues and those who consult for information. The study revealed the best congressmen of the moment; On the one hand, there is Jorge Enrique Robledo, senator from the left, and from the center, Juanita Goebertus, representative to the Chamber for the Green Party.

The study asked the ‘best senator in the country’ and found that Jorge Robledo has the first position, with 18 percent. In the Chamber, behind the two congresswomen, are Germán Navas Talero (7%), Inti Asprilla (4%), Katherine Miranda (4%), Mauricio Toro (3%), José Daniel López (3%), Gabriel Santos 2%), Rodrigo Rojas 2%), Julio César Triana (2%), David Racero (2%), Alejandro Carlos Chacón (2%), Juan Carlos Losada (2%) and John Jairo Bermúdez 2%).

In the evaluation of governors, Atlántico topped the list with 66 percent approval, above Meta and Caldas, with 66 and 61 percent, respectively. The governor of Atlántico is Elsa Noguera, who was also the mayor of Barranquilla. Compared to how opinion leaders are informed, the top two of the most read columnists are headed by Daniel Coronell, with 22 percent, and María Jimena Duzán, with 13 percent, tying with Daniel Samper Ospina. Then come Salud Hernández, with 4 percent, and María Isabel Rueda, with 3.

In the case of the most read tweeters, the top five is made up of Daniel Samper Ospina, with 9 percent. They are followed by Daniel Coronell, Gustavo Petro, Félix de Bedout and Álvaro Uribe Vélez with a figure of 7 percent each. Behind goes Vicky Dávila, with the 4, and La Pulla, with the 3.

The figures of the most read columnists in 14 regions of the country is very low. In the evaluation that the ministers have, María Victoria Angulo, head of the Ministry of Education, equals the percentage of José Manuel Restrepo, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, who is in second place. They both have 55 percent in management.

For his part, in figures on how mayors have handled the covid-19 pandemic, the mayor of Tunja leads with 72 percent, followed by the mayor of Neiva with the same value. The top three is closed by the mayor of Bogotá, the only woman on the list, with 66 percent.

This time a section entitled ‘feminism’ was included in which both men and women were asked about this topic. When asked whether they have been affected by sexist behaviors throughout their lives, 58 percent answered women yes, and men 28 percent.

When asked whether or not they consider themselves feminists, 39 percent said yes and 28 percent of men. Furthermore, 52 percent of those who said yes, claimed to have been stigmatized for being feminists.

When asked what is meant by feminism, 57 of those surveyed voted for the option that it is a movement that fights for gender equality and only 8 percent said it was the opposite of machismo.

In addition, 51 percent of those surveyed said that feminism will achieve greater spaces of power for women and 33 percent said they will achieve feminist normative reforms.

Among the women most highlighted by opinion leaders are Vicky Dávila, María Isabel Rueda, Cecilia Orozco, Laura Ardila Arrieta, Paola Andrea Gómez, Angélica Lozano, Aida Avella, Paloma Valencia and Claudia López, among others.

The sample of panelists included several recognized figures such as Claudia López, Ana Cristina Restrepo, Juanita León, Juanita Goebertus, Alejandro Santos, Juan Fernando Cristo, Rafael Pardo, Alejandro Gaviria, among others. Women are 34% and men 66%.
