After more than two hours of meeting at the Unified Command Post, the mayors of the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga reached an agreement to once again unify the measures to reactivate the economy and stop the contagion of COVID-19.

As the numbers of coronavirus infections have decreased in recent weeks in Santander, the leaders decided to repeal the peak and ID that governed the area during weekends.

This being the case, there are no longer any restrictions on mobility or access to establishments during the weekend.

In addition, it was jointly decided to modify the schedule in which both curfew and prohibition apply.

From this Saturday, February 20, these restrictions will begin at 11:00 at night and will end at 5:00 in the morning the next day. There will only be a curfew and dry law on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The reason for these changes has to do with gradually reactivating trade while taking advantage of the fact that infections have decreased and about 93% of the positives have already recovered.

This decision will work until next Friday, March 5, the date on which the leaders will meet again to review the progress of the pandemic in Santander.
