There were 17 deaths from covid-19 in the Valley this Wednesday, ten were reported in Cali

The Ministry of Health reported 6,731 cases of covid-19 this Wednesday in Colombia and raised the total number of infections to 784,268, since the health emergency began in the country.

Although they continue to identify new patients, the number of active cases fell to 95,607. They also indicated that there were 176 more deaths associated with covid-19, for a total of 24,746, while those recovered reached 662,277 this day.

They clarify about the deaths that 165 of them correspond to previous days.

In the Valley, the health authorities reported 17 deaths from the disease, ten of them in Cali. The other deaths correspond to the municipalities of Palmira (2), Tuluá, El Cerrito, Cartago and Yumbo.

Infections in the region increased to 58,588, with 540 new positives located in the last 24 hours.

The new infections are distributed in Bogotá (1,560), Antioquia (1,221), Valle del Cauca (540), Santander (436), Cesar (326), Risaralda (306), Cundinamarca (281), Caldas (223), Meta ( 211), Tolima (176), Huila (171), Norte de Santander (144), Boyacá (128), Nariño (108), Cauca (103), Quindío (97), La Guajira (82), Magdalena (71) , Córdoba (70), Guainía (69), Santa Marta (68), Caquetá (50), Barranquilla (42), Atlántico (41), San Andrés (41), Arauca (37), Casanare (27), Bolívar ( 19), Vaupés (19), Sucre (17), Guaviare (15), Putumayo (12), Cartagena (9), Vichada (8), Chocó (2) and Amazonas (1).
