Being away from the cameras and seeing himself on television again as ‘Benito’, has brought good memories to actor Giovanni Suárez, especially for how well he had eating on the set of Passion of Hawks.

“The element of food on set is very difficult and being able to talk to her while chewing, to be understood, the director demanded that I eat a lot,” he says.

To try to maintain his weight, he arrived on the set fasting.

“The difficult thing was also that to take advantage of the recording sets, sometimes two breakfasts, three dinners were recorded in a single moment, then I had to eat too much,” he recalls.

He never needed food, but he did need medicine, vital to save his son 5 years ago, when he lived in Venezuela.

“When he was born, he almost died, he had late neonatal sepsis, I struggled too much, I went through all the states of Venezuela, traveling by car, looking for medicines, looking for injections,” he says.

But he had to go back to Colombia and start over.

“My lady told me, my love, with you even under a bridge, let’s go! We took a car, we went to the border, there I had to pay to be allowed to go to my country, “he says.

He has lived in Bogotá for three years, he tries to get ahead as a businessman and now that he sees himself on the screen, he dreams of one day returning to television as an actor.
