This Tuesday there was a controversial ‘scuffle’ between the Colombian cyclist Egan Bernal and the Argentine Mario Sábato, who narrates the Tour de France for the sports network Espn.
The reason for this ‘crossing’ through social networks was produced by a trill by Xiomy Guerrero, the ex-partner of the current Tour de France champion, who indirectly criticized the rapporteur on his twitter account.
“I turned on the TV to watch the Tour and by mistake I was on another channel, I only heard screams and some green smoke. Thank God there is Goga Ruíz Sandoval (a Mexican who narrates on the Caracol Channel),” Guerrero wrote, who later deleted his publication.
Sábato felt alluded to and did not hesitate to respond in a forceful but respectful way.
“Dear Xiomara: we are free to say what each one wants, but it was not necessary to disqualify my work. I do it with a lot of affection and I have two eminences next to me who contribute much more than shouting and green smoke. A pity this type of message” the Argentine trilled.

Next, it was Egan who responded to the Argentine, telling him that his ex-partner had the right to show his opinion.
Dear Mario: If we are free to say what each one wants … well, leave her alone, she simply likes how Goga narrates, that like you, she is a great professional. Do not take it personally. Regards!!

Sábato, again with respect, decided to respond, and insisted to Bernal that it was wrong for them to demerit his work:
“Of course champion! Goga is a number 1, super professional, and logically she has many, many fans! I’m just saying that there was no need to disqualify my work. Just that,” he wrote.

I celebrate that there are many channels broadcasting and hopefully more and more will join! Hug bonnet! https://t.co/u0JblqufB3– Mario Sabato (@mario_sabato) September 15, 2020
In this edition of the Tour de France, Egan Bernal occupies the 16th position of the general classification, far from the leader of the race, the Slovenian Primoz Roglic.
