Regarding the current situation, Fernández stated that it is still early to evaluate the epidemiological behavior, prevalence and potential impact of this variant in the border area and in the capital of the department of Amazonas. Nor has there been a significant increase in cases yet.
Therefore, continuously and every 15 days the advisory committee will evaluate the evolution of the situation international epidemiological analysis of the tri-national amazon, as well as scientific evidence on the clinical and epidemiological behavior of the virus.
