The young woman lived through an ordeal for eight years due to the death of Andrés Colmenares. However, he rebuilt his life outside the country
Laura Moreno was a young woman from Bogotá from a wealthy family in the capital. However, his father led a rather modest life. They lived in an apartment in the Salitre neighborhood and she was studying at the Colegio Agustiniano. Upon finishing his studies, he became interested in Civil Engineering. He chose the Universidad de los Andes. There he met again with Carlos Cárdenas, a former schoolmate. They had a romantic relationship that lasted three years. However, love is over.
Laura met the young peasant Luis Andrés Colmenares, who was her monitor in a class. She tried to give him a chance as he was quite interested in her. However, when they had only been dating for a month, misfortune invaded their lives. On Halloween night 2010, Luis Andrés Colmenares was found dead in the El Virrey Park sewer. The circumstances in which the young Colmenares lost his life were never clarified and the case went down in history as one of the most mediatic in Colombian justice.
From then on Laura Moreno saw her youth lost. His university studies were alternated by the hearings of the case. There came a time when he could not even go to a public place because he was no longer a normal person but was well known throughout the country. The hardest stage was when he was kept in jail for thirteen months. As if that were not enough, the media misrepresented truths and people on the street pointed to her when they saw her.
According to what he told Semana magazine in an interview in February 2017, when his acquittal was known, during the years that the investigation lasted, he only devoted himself to two things: the university and the case “I dedicated myself to living what came of the case court, to attend the hearings, to be aware of everything. This case became my priority, so much so that sometimes I had to miss the university, because I had issues that I had to attend in the courts of Paloquemao. The lawyers have been busy with advancing my defense but I have been very on top of the case, to know what is happening, to understand, because my life is at stake. “
After eight long years of hearings, the young Laura Moreno was acquitted by a judge in 2017 and managed to rebuild her life. Some time later, the photos of Laura Moreno’s marriage that occurred on March 23 at a farm on the outskirts of Villa De Leyva were leaked on social networks. Although no further details of the event were known, it was learned that the groom was Ecuadorian and that the honeymoon was in Cancun.
