Mayor Daniel Quintero Calle toured what has been the first year of Medellin Future around the management and comprehensive care of the pandemic, the implementation of the Software Valley, the educational and cultural transformation, the Ecocity model, the Metro de la 80, the fight against crime, among other challenges of the Development plan Medellin Future.
The covid-19 accelerated the transformations that Daniel Quintero brought in his head for Medellín. The presentation of results, in its rendering of accounts, praised the modernization of the city and the adaptation to the changes.
The platform Medellin takes care of me, headed by the mayor, obtained results that were recognized worldwide, such as the lowest fatality percentage of the capital cities in the country: 1.8% and seroprevalence, since only 27% of the population has been exposed to the virus .
The administration assured that the city is ready for 2021. The Secretary of Government will be the Vaccination Manager of the city. The construction of the 80 Metro, Parques de Río del Norte, the first underground metro line and the reindustrialization of the city’s pavement will begin, to improve the mobility of the city.
