Teen killed man with shoe sewing needle in Atlantic

In events that are the subject of investigation by the authorities, a 15-year-old young man confessed to having killed a man with a shoe-sewing needle, in events that occurred at dawn this Saturday in the municipality of Soledad, Atlántico .

According to the information gathered by the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police, Geovani García Hernández, 40, was chatting with other friends at a residence in the Villa Estadio III neighborhood, in the municipality of Soledad. As the drink was finished, he went out with the young man to buy a bottle of rum. When they returned home, the minor asked him for a drink and the adult said no.

This refusal caused the two to get into an argument and it was when the 15-year-old had pulled out the shoe sewing needle and inflicted a wound in the abdomen, on the left side, near the heart. García Hernández’s body was left lying on Calle 71A with Carrera 15, in the Villa Estadio III neighborhood and the young man fled.

When the police arrived at the place, the residents of the sector indicated who was responsible for Geovani’s death and were able to find the whereabouts of the 15-year-old, who in effect confessed to the Sijin investigators what happened.

He told them that after buying the bottle of liquor they left for the residence where they were chatting, but on the way he asked the man for a drink, but he refused. They started a fight and that was when he took out the needle and inflicted the mortal wound on his opponent.

The young man was placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Adolescents and García Hernández’s body was taken to the premises of the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
