The father and one of the children of the family died after the gasoline transport vehicle lost control around 8:00 a.m., overturned and ended up on top of the private car in which six members of the same family group were traveling.
Although there is talk of technical failures, witnesses to the event do not rule out that the tragedy was caused by speeding.
In Noticias Caracol del noon, a neighbor recounted how they went to help get the wounded out of the car: “We first began to help the three children, who were about three years old, the other girl was about seven years old, so all average little ones […] We took the three of us out among the neighbors ”.
“We couldn’t get the driver out”added the witness interviewed by the newscast.
One of the minors is under observation, while the other is in an Intensive Care Unit. The other members of the family were also transferred to hospitals, where they receive the respective medical attention.
The truck driver was taken to a clinic, but his prognosis is guarded.
