THIRD PEAK OF THE PANDEMIC
On the other hand, the president also warned of the arrival of a third peak of COVID-19 in the country and insisted on the need to enforce biosecurity protocols despite the implementation of the National Vaccination Plan.
“We have warned about the possibility of a third peak for several weeks and the message we give to Colombians is a lot of protection, we cannot lower our guard. Vaccination does not mean victory against the virus. Until we are all safe, there is no one safe and this has been said by the World Health Organization ”, he explained in the Caracol microphones.
The president recommended that, in the remainder of Easter, family crowds are not generated.

BORDER CONFLICT WITH VENEZUELA
The president also expressed concern about the border conflict between the Venezuelan National Guard and the Farc dissidents.
Duque affirmed that the authorities have reinforced security in the area: “Controls have been strengthened in border areas, what we are seeking is to take full control of the situation.”
