The Ecuadorian from Education First Jonathan Caicedo took the victory in the third stage of the Giro d’Italia, ending in the first substantial climb of the edition, that of Mount Etna, on the island of Sicily. The Italian from Ineos Ganna, for his part, gave up the pink jersey, which from now on Joao Almeida will wear. The Portuguese of Deceuninck snatched it from Caicedo by a few hundredths of difference won in the opening time. Third in that general was placed a Spanish, Pello Bilbao.
