Spain maintains a coronavirus quarantine for travelers from Colombia, Peru and eight African countries.
Spain extended until April 19 the quarantine imposed on travelers from Colombia, Peru and eight African countries to stop the spread of variants of the coronavirus, according to a decree published this Friday.
The ten-day isolation also applies to travelers from Brazil and South Africa, from where only Spanish or Andorran nationals and residents can travel to Spain.

Affected African countries are Botswana, Comoros, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Travelers from these 12 countries must comply with a 10-day quarantine, or seven if they present a negative PCR test at the end of that period. The rule is in force since March 2.
“Concerns about the effects of the variants from Brazil and South Africa remain, both in terms of their impact due to greater transmissibility, reinfections and a possible decrease in vaccine efficacy, as well as their extension to countries close to where they were initially detected, ”said the decree, published in the Official State Gazette.
