Colombians who want to transfer from a pension scheme and meet the requirements to do so, will be able to complete this process completely online and in a matter of minutes.

Colpensiones made the Electronic Transfer process available to citizens through its website www.colpensiones.gov.co, a process that is enabled for those who belong to Porvenir, Protección and Skandia to Colpensiones or vice versa.

In 2020, through the face-to-face transfer process, more than 42 thousand people have moved from a private fund to Colpensiones and about 700 have made the change from the public administrator. And in just two days of the online service being available, 218 citizens have made their request to transfer to Colpensiones.

“2020 for us has been a year of digital advances, day after day we are looking for more alternatives to innovate and enter technologically and in this way, facilitate our procedures so that citizens can do them from the comfort of their home”, assured Javier Eduardo Guzmán Silva, President (A) of Colpensiones.
It is important to remember that, to carry out the transfer, the person must meet two specific requirements: to have been in the current pension fund or administrator for at least five years and to have previously performed Double Counseling.
“Double Counseling is a fundamental mechanism when deciding to whom we give our pension savings. In Colpensiones we have always been reiterative with this issue because we want that when people make a decision, they do so consciously and knowing the benefits they have in the two regimes, ”said Guzmán.
To advance the request, the citizen must go to the website of the Administrator www.colpensiones.gov.co and click on the main banner; Once you are there, you must register, obtain a username and password and answer the validation questions. After that, you must enter the application again and click on the Transfer option. If the person meets the requirements, the transfer response will be received between 5 to 10 minutes later.
In 2019 Colpensiones pioneered Electronic Affiliation for the first time, with which nearly 25 thousand citizens have benefited thanks to this 100% online process.
