Through Decree 231 of August 31, the Mayor’s Office of Santa Marta adopts the national decree on Selective Isolation and dictates new provisions for the gradual reopening of different sectors in the city.

In Santa Marta, from September 1 to October 1, 2020, all economic activities in the city will be allowed to open. One or more activities may be ordered to close or be restricted according to the behavior of contagions and epidemiological indicators.

Restaurants, hotels, gyms, churches, parks, beaches, among other sectors, will reopen with the proper protocols and prior authorization. The prohibition of the consumption of intoxicating / alcoholic beverages in public spaces, parks, restaurants, shops, stables and the closure of discos is maintained.

In the capital of Magdalena, citizens will once again enjoy the beaches from September 18 under strict biosecurity protocols. The administrative act indicates that the use of the beaches will be available from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on the beaches that are reached via Terrestrial and on beaches whose access is maritime from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Likewise, the Mayor’s Office ordered that from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, disinfection and cleaning tasks will be carried out in the areas and activities in the spas.

In all cases, the beaches will be adjusted to their load capacity and capacity according to the guidelines of the Dimar authority. Appealing to civic responsibility, the social distancing of the attendees must be maintained, as long as they are not from the same family.
