Six extinct properties returned to the hands of the Mayor of Cali

This Friday, the delivery of six fiscal properties (the San Fernando club and five extinct lots) that were in the hands of the Special Assets Society (SAE) to the city of Cali to support the development of projects that promote the economic reactivation of the region.

Land for housing

According to the SAE, the five buildings will promote the construction of Social Interest Housing (VIS) and contribute to the housing deficit and the generation of jobs in the city. In October, the municipal administration will receive the first four properties. The fifth property known as “Cañaveralejo” has 13 hectares, according to SAE’s topographic survey, and it will be delivered once the municipality carries out the cadastral physical cleaning of the property.

San Fernando

This property will become an Interactive Park. Here the SAE informed that it will carry out a crossing of tax accounts 2020 and 2021 with the Mayor of Cali so that the municipality can acquire the property known as “San Fernando”. This asset is valued at 30 billion pesos and has an area of ​​2.2 hectares.

Mayor Jorge Iván Ospina, referred to the lot where the San Fernando Club was once built, valued at $ 30 billion, “the city will be able to enjoy an orange development area. Now that I see the flag of Cali flying, I dream of having a planetarium here, a proposal that the community interprets about developments in technology and that in its construction process and future operation reactivates the economy.

For Cali to receive these properties, at some point owned by drug trafficking, the decision came from the High Government, headed by the President of the Republic, Iván Duque Márquez, with the support of the parliamentary caucus that carried out all negotiations in the capital of the country.

Life Park

The Mayor’s Office of Cali will make a lease offer for the property in front of Cosmocentro while the municipality carries out the procedures for the purchase of this property and to build the “Vida” Park in this land.

Property sanitation

A specialized group of SAE and Mayor’s Office will work together to legally and cadastral clean up the inventory of assets in the process of extinction of domain and extinct located in Cali. This in order to expand the portfolio of properties available for sale in the city and identify new assets that support infrastructure projects for the Sultana del Valle.

Infrastructure

The entity will present to Congress a draft article for the Budget Law with which the Entity will be able to locate properties in autonomous patrimonies and with this support the development of infrastructure projects that promote economic reactivation. In Cali, this figure will allow the Mayor’s Office to access the property known as “La Martina” located in the El Limonar area.

The President of the Republic, Iván Duque Márquez, pledged to support the economic reactivation of Cali with assets seized for illegal activities and today we are announcing the delivery of these properties for the development of orange economy projects and affordable housing. Cali will be the first city to build on assets seized from drug trafficking ”.

Assets

Currently, the SAE has special assets in Cali that are valued at $ 1.7 billion. The portfolio of properties is made up of 4,723 properties, of which 941 are currently leased, in a commercial window for sale there are 1,601 properties worth more than $ 300 billion and 283 properties available for lease.
