This Monday, December 28, around 6:55 pm, there was an “incident” between two drivers that would have been caused by a case of “intolerance” – according to a Transmilenio statement – and that resulted in the death of one of them . The incident occurred in the south of Bogotá, apparently between a driver of an illegal transport vehicle and a driver of a blue bus of the Integrated Public Transport System (SITP). Unfortunately, the death of the Sitp driver was reported and the other person involved in the incident was captured.
So far, what happened is a matter of investigation and, according to Transmilenio, the unfortunate event occurred on Avenida Gaitán Cortes with Carrera 49. For now the authorities have not provided information about the detainee and the causes of the death of the driver, but He hopes that the facts will be clarified in the next few minutes.
For his part, the manager of Transmilenio SA regretted what happened and expressed his solidarity with the family of the operator who lost his life on the last Monday of 2020.
