This time on account of the resources demanded by the medical expenses for the surgical interventions that must be performed on Nieves.

According to the family, to date, EPS Asmet Salud, to which he is affiliated, has not authorized the Santa Isabel Clinic, the center where he was admitted, this type of procedure, since they currently do not have this agreement.

“Since December 11, that EPS has denied him care at that clinic. A pelvic CT scan with 3D fracture reconstruction should be performed. This intervention requires a surgical package worth 28 million 500 thousand pesos. In addition, an urgent procedure should be intervened on the same lower left limb, ”explained Sigifredo Nieves Martínez, the victim’s brother.

He also assured that if this type of procedure is not performed, his brother runs the risk of being affected by the devices currently installed in his pelvis and could relapse.
