While the Prosecutor’s Office undertook an entire offensive against sexual crimes in Cauca that left 20 prosecuted for acts committed against children and adolescents between 4 and 13 years old, in Cali, three mothers of three minors managed to get a man in the Aguablanca District was arrested.
The latter is known by the alias Papotas, indicated, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, of having allegedly raped three girls, whose ages range from 6 to 9 years.

Nacional made effective the 20 captures in Popayán, as well as in the municipalities of Piendamó and Timbío, ordered by guarantees control judges, upon request from prosecutors attached to the Center for Attention to Victims of Sexual Abuse (Caivas) of Cauca, and Children and Adolescents.
The prosecutor explained that those currently prosecuted are investigated for events that occurred in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Among them are parents, grandparents, stepparents, uncles, cousins, and family acquaintances of the victims.

One of those implicated is a woman, an Early Childhood student and accused of having abused a minor under 13 years of age through games and alleged invitations to his home, apparently with deception, while apparently he would have forced a minor under 10 to take photographs of them.
“During the different preliminary hearings, the Prosecutor’s Office filed charges against those captured for crimes, such as aggravated abusive carnal access with a minor under 14 years old; sexual acts with a minor under 14 years old, violent sexual act with an aggravated minor under 14 years old and aggravated carnal access violent”.
The 20 detainees were processed, after the imputation of charges, many of which were not accepted, among them, the woman who had committed obscene acts with the 13-year-old teenager and who would have been photographed by the little girl, 10.

The woman was taken to a penitentiary, like 17 others captured. The remaining two received from a guarantee control judge, house by jail.
Alleged rapist of three girls in Cali
In the case of Papotas, the Prosecutor’s Office indicated that three mothers of the same number of girls, aged between 6 and 9 years old, denounced the man who, in the Aguablanca District, allegedly had committed violent carnal access to his daughters and then had threats not to be reported.
The Prosecutor’s Office reported that the threats were related to denouncing the parents before the Colombian Family Welfare Institute (ICBF) of alleged complicity in this crime so that they could take custody of the infants.
The accusing body also reported that five investigators from the CTI and one from the Police Department managed to gather evidence in recent months that would compromise ‘Papotas’, by showing that the girls were raped.
