The director of the Police, Jorge Vargas, said at a press conference that the authorities have new elements that will make it possible to clarify what happened to the little girl.

After weeks of searching, investigations and interviews, the National Police assured this Friday that the case of Sara Sofía Galván, the minor who has been missing in Bogotá for almost two months, is yet to be clarified. The country has been in suspense for the last few days waiting for the authorities to find out what happened.

At a press conference, which was held this Friday in Villavicencio, the Director of the Police, Jorge Vargas, made the announcement of new evidence in the case; however, he guaranteed that the search for the minor would continue. “We continue on the entire margin of the Tunjuelo river and its tributaries, to continue the search for the girl, there is a strong hypothesis that she may be in this area, we continue with this, always hoping to find her alive,” he said. .

It should be remembered that the girl’s mother, Carolina Galván, stated at first that Sara Sofía died in her sleep, which scared her and motivated her to throw the body of the minor, wrapped in a bag, into a pipe of the Tunjuelito River. However, there are other versions, compiled by the Prosecutor’s Office, that indicate that the minor is alive and that she was handed over to an unknown person.
