Santa Fe and Junior won their series and are already semifinalists of the BetPlay League

Independiente Santa Fe defeated Deportivo Pasto 2-0, while Junior from Barranquilla won the match with a 1-0 defeat against Tolima. With this achievement both teams advanced to the semifinal phase of the Betplay League. Now Santa Fe will have to face Equidad in a duel from the capital, while Junior will have to play against América de Cali in the semifinal.

The capital team qualified despite the fact that in the first leg of the quarterfinals they had lost 1-0 to the eleventh from Nariño. The goals of the match were the work of Jhon Velásquez, who defined in minutes 12 and 34 of the first half. However, he had to be substituted in the 72nd minute due to a physical discomfort that prevented him from moving forward in the dispute.

With this achievement, Santa Fe will try to reach the final of the Betplay League, facing Equidad, a team that also represents the Colombian capital, and who beat Cali days ago. The first match of this series will be at the Techo stadium, south of Bogotá, while the return match will be at the El Campin stadium.

In the middle of a close match, in which there was tension, red cards and an expulsion, from Leyvin Balanta del Tolima, at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo, the Junior from Barranquilla won this match 1 – 0 against Deportes Tolima, with a global 2-0, they qualified for the semifinals of the 2020 BetPlay League. With the victory as a visitor, Junior got a 2-0 aggregate and with this result he can now face América de Cali in the semifinal.

With a goal from Miguel Ángel Borja, the ‘shark’ team defeated the Ibagué team.

After the Betplay Quarterfinals have been played, only four teams will remain in the race for the star of the year. The Playoffs in their semifinal phase will be played on the weekends of December 6 and 13.
